REN FEST

Well, I thought I would go ahead and do an entry now because we have lots of pictures from Ren Fest in Houston, and her bday party is next weekend and we will once again have lots of pix!! She had a blast at the "fethibal" She dressed as a fairy, but eventually became a devilish pixie, which is really more true to her nature, when we added horns to her outfit. The horns were the first thing she put on the morning after. She also had her face painted at the end of the day and actually sat perfectly still for the lady. Although she wouldn't let us wash her face for a few days after! She finally started to forget about by the third day, so when I scrubbed, and I mean scrubbed, her face in the bath that night, she didn't even think twice about what I was doing. Now, the next morning when we got up to get ready for school and she saw her face in the mirror she cried because her paint was gone! It was amazing the power the face paint had on her. Any time she started to cry or throw a fit, all I had to say was "don't cry, your paint will come off" and boy she stiffened that upper lip and sucked it up. I may just paint her face more often! She was able to ride her favorite animal, the "elphalant" , a camel and a ponie.
And, by the way, to those of you who know my girlfriend Bethany, from high school, she just gave birth to twin boys on the 20th! (better her than me!!) I'm so excited for her and have a link to her blog on here (on the left), although she has not put pix up yet, I'm sure she's a little busy!!
The extra pix that is obviously not from ren fest is her school pix from this year. I am just so impressed with how cute it turned out!! And enjoy the video of my over dramatic child singing "Twinkle Twinkle".
