vacation, easter, movies...

Well, it's been a busy month, mainly from me trying to work more. I think I've worn out my husband and our mothers...or should I say Evi has! Plus Evi & I were each sick a week (at different times thank goodness) and we went on vacation. We do have a couple of announcements...Kristi, Michael and Grace welcomed Evi a new cousin, Mya Reese. And FINALLY Darrell has asked Marni to marry him!! We are very excited about both.
Evi says complete sentences now. The other night she just all of a sudden said "I don't like it, I don't want it anymore." This complete sentence, out of the blue! Scott and I just looked at each other, speechless. And she repeats everything. She has already said her first bad word, thanks to her mother. Luckily it's not one of the ones she has chosen to keep in her vocabulary, yet! She can count to 10 and backwards from 6 in english, up to 5 in spanish, all thanks to Dora & Diego. Anyone who says tv is bad for kids knows nothing!!
She's pretty good with colors (thanks to the many shades of m&m's) and her shapes. It's amazing how much her little brain can absorb daily.
Now, after a year of eating nothing but milk and air, she finally eats food!! She wakes up in the night and tells me she's hungry.
We spent a few days in Tahoe. Evi loved the sledding and really wanted to ski but the place didn't carry her size. But she should be able to next year. Scott is very exited to get her out there. She loved the snow though, and was a big fan of snowballs. And somebody took the time to build an igloo that was the perfect size for Evi.

She's big into "pretending." Mostly that she's a puppy. Or kitty, piggie or horsie. She likes for us to pretend to cry so that she can get a new kleenax for us to blow our noses. And she gets a new one every time. We're keeping kleenax in business. And her daddy bought Evi her first bike. All Dora of course!!

Easter was a success. She had her first Easter Egg Hunt, and it basically went all day long. Out at Scott's mom's (Bebe) her basket was being emptied almost as fast as she was finding them, in order to rehide them. But she loved every minute of it. We also took her to see her first movie, Horton hears a Who. She calls it the "big tv". At first the previews were too loud and she hid her face in my chest. But once Horton came on, she turned around and said, "soda, popcorn!" The movie lasted an hour and a half. Evi lasted about an hour. The last 30 minutes were torture. But after paying $30 for tickets and food & drinks, we were not leaving early!! Basically the light up steps were entertainment for the last half hour.
Now, in the video of Evi on the pot, does anyone have a guess as to what she's singing. Scott & I are at a complete loss, and she's been singing the same thing over & over. And the shower curtain over her face is what she does when she's shew-weeing! teehee!
