9 months

Evi Brie is now 9 months! While my pregnancy felt like forever to get to this point, this 9 months has gone by super fast! She's been crawling for a couple of weeks now, but pulling up to standing even longer. Now that she's accomplished crawling, she's over it and ready to walk! She will hold onto anything and make her way to where she wants to go. Like the cat, for instance. Actually Chloe has been surprisingly nice to Evi and will lay in front of her voluntarily and let Evi do what ever she wants. (mainly in the morning when she's starving for attention after being locked out of the bedrooms for the night) It's a surprise because just a few months ago Chloe scratched my friend's child Liam when he tried to pet her. (i'm soooo sorry maria!)

And mamma is bringing home the bacon this month! unfortunately I had to work a three day trip this month (which means 3 days and 2 nights away). It was pure torture for me. And it was pretty hard on Evi too. She stayed with my mom, Charlie, and Aunt Tootie (malachi) in Houston. By the 3rd day she went on a hunger strike and refused all baby food and formula. (i didn't leave enough "liquid gold" aka breast milk) She did finally take formula, but has still refused the baby food ever since. She wants the good stuff, like steak & potatoes, spaghetti o's, and franks-n-beans. Everything a growing girl needs. Oh, and cookies. She loves chocolate chip cookies! She had her first on accident. I thought I had left them out of her reach, but no, i came into the room and she was covered in cookie. It was pretty cute. A little bit later she was nursing, she pulled off, opened her fist and shoved a piece of cookie(that i didn't know she still had) in her mouth and went back to nursing. It was too funny.
We have regressed when it comes to sleeping alone though. I blame it all on my going back to work. She now wakes up at some point in the night and will constantly wake up when I lay her back down in her crib, but will sleep like a rock if I lay her in bed with us. Yes, i know, i am creating a monster, but i'll deal with sleeping alone later next month, or when she's able to communicate, which ever. tee hee! Hey, I slept with my parents for several years, and turned out to be a stable adult (at least i think i'm stable).
until next month...
