"There's a party in my tummy...so yummy"

We solved the mystery of Evi's song from the video last month. As the days wore on the words became clearer and I realized she was saying, "to the sky...little einstiens", the theme to the little einstiens show. She loves to sing, as you can see from the video. I have sang "I'm a little teapot" more times this week... Surprisingly she uses words like mine, yours, me, you & I correctly. And her speech gets clearer everyday. It's so much fun.
She's doing better around other kids her age and people in general. Before she freaked out or just refused to play when other kids were around. Now she tries to talk to them (mainly little girls). So maybe mother's day out in the fall won't be so bad!!! HA!! She's also doing ok, not great, with me going to work. She seems to do better when I talk to her about it a day or so ahead of time, repeatedly, so that she knows it's coming rather than just disappearing. But when she sees me in my uniform she usually tells me "mommy, no work!!" and tries to get me to sit with her. It's heartbreaking. She wanted a toy the other day and I told her I didn't have any money to buy it with, and that I had to go to work that afternoon to make monies, and she was perfectly fine with me leaving that day! Turkey!
She has learned everyone's "other name" Like Daddy is Scott, Tooti is Tootichi (for Malachi). She can't seem to remember that my other name is Misti or Mimi. But when she yells for Daddy and he doesn't come right away she starts yelling "Scott!" It's hilarious!
I have yet another reason why small children SHOULD watch TV. There is a show out called "yo gabba gabba", and it's like telletubies meets Sesame Street on crack. The theme is "life lessons with a beat" and it's like a drug for Evi. She can't pull her eyes away from the screen. Well, one of their lessons the other day was trying new food. They sang a song that went "try it, you'll like it" and of course the character liked the food. (along with the title of this blog episode "there's a party in my tummy, so yummy...") So...now when we've been out eating, I sing this song to her and she smiles and tries the food...and likes it. P.S. this last pix is of a fit in action!
We went to the farm today. The 2 hour car ride to Aunt Mona & Uncle Terry's farm was pure torture, for her and for me because she was soooo excited and it took too long for her. She rode a pony, fed the cows, and made butter. And collected rollie pollies. All in all, she LOVED it. Her daddy has also slaved away this week and built her a backyard playset. He's her hero!
