22 months

evi is quite the tattle tale, even though she still is not speaking english. we went on vacation for a week in frisco, co, with scott's family and scott's sister has grace who is 6 months older than evi. grace took evi's ball at one point and evi came to me claiming grace had bonked her on the head, even though i had witnessed the entire transaction take place and that did not happen. then she proceeded to turn and gripe at grace in evinese while shaking her finger at her. it was too funny! (this is grace with evi, her piggy tails put evi's to shame!)

we did the alpine slide one day and evi loved it!! scott and evi were on the slide
behind me and he kept asking her if she wanted to go faster, she would say yes, and then he would yell at me to go faster. i kept yelling back that i didn't want to go any faster. unlike my child, i thought it was a little scary. the ride up on the open lift was even scarier. i had a death grip on her, meanwhile she's leaning over the edge reaching for flowers on the ground below, trying to stand on the seat, waving at scott behind us. i was terrified of her falling and felt the lift was lasting forever!!!

oh how the teeth are coming in! she finally has one 1year molar completely in on the bottom and 1 on each side coming in on the top and the other molar on the bottom too. steak will be even better when she can actually chew it! so that's 3 coming in at once. let' just say she's a little moody.
I've had to work a few nights away from home this month. i really didn't go away overnight much this summer, so evi has gotten out of the swing of things. plus she can let her opinion really be known now, where as before it was pretty much out of sight, out of mind. so now she cries for mama and won't let scott comfort her sometimes. poor baby. she's gonna have abandonment issues!
we are starting mommy & me gymnastics classes next week, i'm totally excited. being the dare devil that she is i know she's going to love it. this place looks pretty amazing too. i don't know if i have mentioned this before, but she's loves the swimming pool. she had no problem figuring out how to swim with floaties on. i was totally impressed that she picked up on it so fast. she can go where ever she wants in them. like a little water bug. when we get to my mom's house she immediately takes her aunt tooti to the back door and to the pool. she's not going to like winter.

she is living up to her name "tex ann".( bottom left pix) she saw these pink cowboy boots at target and couldn't get her sandals off fast enough. there have been several days since that these are all she'll wear. they are totally cute! and that is her new "cheese" face for the camera.
she has also figured out that her parents neither one can carry a tune. when i sing she now holds a hand up to my mouth and says"mom!" while shaking her head no. not, mama, or mommy, just "mom!" like an embarressed teenager. now, itsy bitsy spider she'll let me sing and she'll imitate my hands, and the wheels on the bus, and twinkle twinkle little star. it's mostly when i try and sing the tv shows.

and this last picture, i'll let you guess who she's imitating, reading on the potty. speaking of the potty. since she runs around naked a lot she can hold it and will let me know when she has to tinkle and will go on the potty! when she has to shew-wee she brings me diaper. so hopefully we won't have much of problem potty training, as soon as she learns to speak english and can communicate...someday.
